Tilly Dalglish is a 16 year old folk singer-songwriter from Suffolk who has been writing and performing since she was just 13. Her song writing and delivery demonstrate an emotional maturity beyond her years and combine with a delicate finger picking style on the mandolin to produce poignant, passionate songs.
In 2013 she made her festival debut at Maddy Prior’s Stepping Stones Festival and at FolkEast , and played with the award winning Bellowhead at Snape Maltings. So far this year she has supported the legendary folk-rock fiddler Dave Swarbrick at Cambridge Folk Club and has had songs featured on BBC Introducing and the BBC Mixtape by BBC 6 Music presenter Tom Robinson.
Music took a back seat recently as Tilly prepared for her GCSEs in 2014 but once exams were out of the way she had a busy summer of gigs including supporting the “Songsisters Tour” of Fiona Bevan and Kal Lavelle at the John Peel Arts Centre in Stowmarket, Gig in the Garden, Cambridge Acoustic Nights, Folkroom (London), Golden Hinde (London), and culminating in a main stage appearance at the fabulous FolkEast Festival where she launched her new EP “Painted Faces”.
